The National Documentation and Electronic Content Centre (EKT), National Contact Point for Horizon Europe and Coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network-Hellas, invites you to the event “Career opportunities for researchers at Horizon Europe: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions” on Thursday 8 July 2021 (16:00-18:15) online via the Microsoft Teams platform.
The event will focus on the new calls for Doctoral Networks and Postdoctoral Fellowships of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), and is organised in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRIC), the European Commission and the Research Executive Agency-REA.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more and put their questions directly to the experts from the European Commission. More specifically, the event will start with a presentation by Eleni Konsta from the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Department of the Directorate-General for Education and Culture (DG EAC), who will present the Actions under the new Horizon Europe programme, which aims to contribute to scientific excellence and job creation by equipping researchers with new knowledge and skills, and strengthening their participation in international and intersectoral collaborations.
Then, Ioannis Bitsios and Thodoris Staikos, Research Programme Administrators at the European Commission’s Research Executive Agency (REA), will analyse the activities of the Doctoral Networks and Postdoctoral Fellowships respectively, presenting the innovations and new elements introduced, as well as the procedure and rules for participation.
In addition, the National Representatives and Experts for the MSCA, Sosanna Kolyva (Pasteur Institute), George Karystinos (Technical University of Crete) and Anna Rosenberg (General Secretariat for Research and Innovation), will make some first preliminary statements on the support for young researchers in the new programme as well as on the connection between the academic, research and business communities.
Finally, the services offered by the MSCA National Contact Points (NCPs), namely the National Documentation and Electronic Content Centre (EKT), the PRAXI Network/Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas and the National Centre for Research & Development (NRC) will be presented. Participants are recommended to attend the open workshop European Commission open day on 1 July 2021 to get a first overview of the actions and to prepare their questions to the speakers.
