The National Documentation and Electronic Content Centre (EKT) is organising on Wednesday 11 October 2023 (16:00-18:00) the webinar “Exploiting Robotics: Applications and Challenges” to familiarise researchers and young entrepreneurs with the use of robotics systems. The event takes place in the framework of the Knowledge and Cooperation Bridges Initiative and SmartAttica.
The development of the field of artificial intelligence in recent years has opened up wide prospects for its application in robotics, which is one of the most important fields of computer science research and concerns the construction of automation systems. The development of robotics applications in various professional sectors is already contributing significantly to problem solving and task completion. However, the challenges arising from the use of robotics increasingly create the need to understand and control these systems.
The seminar, which is a continuation of EKT’s seminar “Harnessing AI for Research Purposes” organized last December, aims to provide participants with a rapid and in-depth understanding of the latest developments and applications of Robotics in different fields such as Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Engineering and Computer Sciences and in the field of Production. At the same time, the seminar will discuss future challenges of the industry, research and entrepreneurship.
Qualified speakers from these fields will present and analyse the applications of Robotics, as well as its potential advantages and disadvantages. The seminar is addressed to scientists and researchers, start-ups and businesses seeking to upgrade their production profile, as well as public and private sector entities interested in relevant technological developments.
Participation in the online event is free of charge, but pre-registration is required at the link here.
